Jo Gaissl has a passion to become a 'PEBBLE' in early childhood educational settings to Teach Inspire Motivate and Empower educators and parents.
Over the last 40 years she has taught in preschool and day care settings as a full time teacher, worked in centres solely as a music facilitator, taught at a ballet school and creative dance studio and comes from a musical family.
Gifted in 2010 with a NEITA ASG Inspirational Teaching Award, Jo offers a wide range of services to the early childhood sector and parents of young children.
Each 'pebble' represents a key area of curriculum that PebbleTime focuses on
MUSIC & MOVEMENT, DRAMA and SOCIAL SKILLS.We believe that incorporating these experiences into everyday practice will help facilitate a solid foundation for children to thrive in holistic development.We are passionate about equipping educators with the knowledge, skills and confidence to consistently engage in these key areas to encourage children to reach their full potential...The 'pebble' is the knowledge dropped into the educational pond... and the 'ripple effect' is the positive outcomes for ALL children, educators and families.
Jo will come to your centre and provide a FUN and HOLISTIC experience for the CHILDREN and Professional Development for EducatorsPROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CERTIFICATE provided to participating Educators for Music & Drama Programs.Follow up PHONE SUPPORT available if required.Additional costs of travel ($55 per hour from Olinda, VIC) and accommodation ($220 per night for regional or rural presentations) may apply.* All prices are inclusive of GST
Jo will come to your centre at the children's mat time and provide an INDIVIDUALIZED music and movement experience based on the CURRENT CURRICULUM interests.The children will move from FAMILIAR SONGS to new musical opportunities in song, dance, creative movement and instrumental work with visual song card support.
Jo will come to your centre at the children's mat time and introduce the concept of THEATRE, adapting their mat space to create a STAGE and SCENERY to support a play performed by the children from a familiar story reflective of the CURRENT CURRICULUM interests.She will facilitate children,s participation in sequential and LATERAL THINKING, imaginative dialogue and collaborative community creativity.
Jo will come to your centre and teach a SEQUENTIAL social skills course modelled on the PALS (Play And Learn Social Skills) program over ten weeks.This program runs for a minimum of 1 hour a week and begins with an intentional teaching GROUP EXPERIENCE with puppets, songs and stories, followed up by PLAY TUTORING for children within free play and MENTORING for the educators.PARENTS are given the opportunity to PARTICIPATE and experience the skills their children are learning through a weekly 15 minute DIALOGUE and corresponding handout.

A PRACTICAL and FUN presentation of FAMILIAR songs with a TWIST.Introducing KINESIOLOGY into our songs, JOYFUL singing, rhythm, musical instruments, movement, dance and an awareness of EXPANDING cognitive and social MINDFULNESS through music.Presenting HOW to INTRODUCE song and dance into your Centre and UTILIZING familiar songs to engage your children and REINFORCE their positive development.
REFLECTING on outcomes we are facilitating when presenting IMAGINATIVE OPPORTUNITIES.EXPLORING the flexibility of LATERAL LANGUAGE experiences within our DAILY RHYTHM.Presenting HOW to INTRODUCE the concept of THEATRE into your Centre and utilizing familiar stories that children can transform into plays.
This presentation will CLARIFY the process by which children DEVELOP social skills and then teach educators in a very hands on PRACTICAL FORMAT how to facilitate the 10 sequential skills of the PebbleTime Social Skills Course modelled on the PALS Program.The content is broken up into THREE SESSIONS to facilitate absorption of information and opportunities for participants to reproduce the individual sessions with their own children.
By embedding the information with practice, sustainable delivery in the coming years is optimized and the ripples in the educational pond expand.
